Communication excellence in workforce and education honored at CCPRO
San Diego — The Community College Public Relations Organization (CCPRO) is a professional development and service organization that promotes excellence in California’s community college public relations and related professions; the organization serves as a central resource of information and provides counsel and assistance relating to the advancement of community colleges statewide and the professional growth of its members.
The California Community Colleges Chancellors Office received two CCPRO 2016 Pro Awards for two communications campaigns for its Doing What MATTERS for Jobs and the Economy (DWM), a strategic framework with California’s 112 colleges to advance the economic landscape and jobs creation at the local, regional and state levels.
First place was awarded for DWM’s social media campaign relating to outreach efforts for the Board of Governors Strong Workforce Task Force. Third Place was awarded for DWM eUpdates, an eNewsletter that reaches a broad stakeholder group with timely updates.
Full Capacity Marketing, Inc. serves as the DWM Technical Assistance Provider (TAP) for Communications supporting DWM and other workforce and education initiatives. “DWM has multiple stakeholders from California’s 112 community colleges to workforce development boards, business and industry and economic developers working together to develop California’s skilled workforce,” said FCM CEO, Celina Shands Gradijan.
FCM TAP Coordinator, Margo Turner added, “It’s important that the communication is simple with highly targeted messages for each stakeholder group to maximize engagement. Our team at FCM works diligently to achieve this to maximize outcomes.”
