Interactive locator partner map enhances regional communication
Charlotte, NC – The winners of the 2016 Davey Awards have been announced by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, and the Centralina Workforce Development Board (CWDB) was named a winner from among the nearly 4,000 entries submitted globally.
The CWDB was recognized as a winner for the interactive partner map housed on its recently revamped website. The CWDB invests in workforce development by partnering with economic development, education and businesses to create innovative strategies to serve career seekers and businesses.
CWDB Executive Director David Hollars said, “Because we coordinate services across hundreds of organizations in the region to create a strong network of employment and training solutions, it was important to create an online tool where businesses and career seekers can find our career centers or partner locations; the interactive map was designed to make location finding an easy task for our customers.”
The Davey Awards is judged and overseen by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), a 700+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media. Current membership represents a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms including: Condé Nast, Disney, GE, Microsoft, Monster.com, MTV, Yahoo!, and many others.
“On behalf of the Davey Awards and our Academy, we want to applaud this year’s entrants and winners for their dedication and commitment to their craft; we offer our congratulations once again for the exceptional work they submitted,” said Linda Day, executive director of the Davey Awards.
