Comprised of 11 community colleges within the Inland Empire/Desert regions of southern California , the Desert Regional Consortium (DRC) collaborates on a variety of career and technical education and workforce and economic development initiatives.

These colleges are part of the California Community College's Economic and Workforce Development (EWD) Program, and are tasked with the mission to advance California's economy and competitiveness through high quality customized training and services to business focusing on workforce improvement, technology deployment and business development.

The DRC members were in search of a communication tool to tell their collaborative story to business and industry. Full Capacity Marketing, Inc. (FCM) evaluated all of the members' best practices in working with business and industry and created an educational video package to attract new businesses to the DRC.

The theme of the video, Real Time Knowledge: Winning the Human Capital Game , capitalized on business' concerns around their current and future workforce and its competitive impacts, and motivated businesses to seek solutions through community colleges. The video is used as a communication tool to educate business and industry that community colleges are in tuned with their employment and training needs, and offer flexible, innovative solutions. From the regional video, FCM designed 11 individual college commercials that shared their unique best practice.
