Social Media Workgroup
At the 2012 National Association of Workforce Boards’ (NAWB) Forum in Washington, D.C., FCM presented the findings of the first-ever Workforce Website Benchmark Study, to examine how workforce organizations utilize the web for outreach to job seekers, businesses, youth and key stakeholders. FCM worked with 37 workforce organizations that allowed FCM access to their website statistics and completed an extensive survey about their online publishing behaviors.
The study was designed to gain insight into how other workforce organizations:
- use social media tools
- automate their workforce processes
- generate fresh content
- generate leads
- optimize the website
The NAWB Forum workshop participants wanted to continue the conversation and stay in touch with workforce professionals across the country to learn social media tools and applications to their work. This workgroup is open to workforce professionals including workforce investment boards, One-Stop Career Centers, partners of the workforce investment system including community-based organizations, community colleges, economic development, and workforce and business associations.
