Butte Glenn Adult Consortium Winner Of International Davey Awards

Oroville, CA – The Butte Glenn Adult Education Consortium (BGAEC) and Full Capacity Marketing, Inc. (FCM) are proud recipients of two International Davey Awards for the development of the BGAEC brand and its website.  The BGAEC helps adults learn the basic academic and work readiness skills needed to become employed and increase their career opportunities.

BGAEC Program Manager, Tessa Milley, said, “We have a dedicated network of participating school districts, educational providers, workforce development and human services organizations that are dedicated to serving adult learners in Butte and Glenn Counties. Our brand exemplifies our collective educational programs that meet employer needs, enabling our students and our region to grow and thrive.”

The BGAEC is one of 72 consortia supported through the Adult Education Block Grant in California. The 2015-2016 state budget appropriated $500 million in funding to bring together multiple stakeholders to collaborate on developing and implementing regional plans for adult education.

“The BGAEC brand and website are part of an overall communications strategy to bring awareness and understanding of the importance of adult education,” said FCM CEO, Celina Shands.  “The website is a critical medium to inform and educate the public about the work of the BGAEC and how to engage in its many programs and services for adult learners.”

The Davey Awards is judged and overseen by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), a 700+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.
