A marketing funnel is a visual representation of the customer/student journey, illustrating how potential adult learners move from initial awareness of adult education to enrollment and retention. The funnel is a useful framework to help adult education providers communicate effectively through segmentation of different audience segments (ELL, career seekers, skill builders), alignment of messaging to eachstage of the funnel (awareness, interest, action), and application of metrics to track performance and optimize outreach.
